HI DADDY!

I struggled with prayer for a long time. I never really understood how people could pray for hours non stop. And so a lot of the things I prayed about in one prayer session, especially in church, were just repetitions. If you have ever been to a Nigerian church, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about - the pastor gives one prayer point and gives you 5 minutes to pray about 1 thing. (I swear I finish before everyone else). I felt this way until I meditated on Matthew 6:7, that says "when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathens do, for they think they will be heard for their many words". I realised that there are 2 important parts of prayer and none of it has to do with your words, but your heart and the person you're praying to - your daddy.

I always struggled with the concept of humility so much that I didn't even know how to accept a compliment. I always make a joke when I receive a compliment instead of saying "thank you".

Sometimes, when you haven't spoken to a friend for such a long time, it's a bit awkward. You want to say so much but can't find the words. That's how I feel.

WRAP YOUR HEAD AROUND THIS

When I saw this beautiful wrap skirt while randomly checking for something on ebay, I knew I had to buy it so I stalked it like a hawk and placed a bid on it and WON! Yayy! I wore a wrap top/dress and then due to having a bad hair day, wrapped a scarf on my head as well. I forgot I had this pair of heels and just randomly found it so I decided to wear it.

I realised there are questions girls should never ask. My friend and I went for a fashion show for charity and while the models were strutting their stuff, she asked me "am I fatter than her?" and I replied honestly and then I found myself asking if I was fatter than some other girl. I got home and thought to myself, that is a wrong way to go about life comparing yourself to someone else. I'm an advocate of being the best you, you can be and not focused on being better than someone else. So, I got carried away and this is just to serve as a reminder to myself and all other women that beauty doesn't come in one size, height, hair, race or even skin-colour. True beauty  can never be limited to one thing. To everyone reading this, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL because you are wonderfully and fearfully made by God and He makes no mistakes

Hi guys, I decided to show you two of my uni outfits lately. I've got the flu (again). The weather isn't sexy at all. It's always raining and just generally annoying so I like to incorporate colour or prints into my outfit and weirdly enough, this brightens up my day.

What do you wear when you have absolutely nothing to wear? Well denim from neck to ankle! I just quickly threw this outfit together and added my most simplistic heels. What do you guys think?

I changed my hair [AGAIN]. I just find one hairstyle boring. So I got an afro kinky curly weave and I sat down in front of the mirror and got it done myself. Maybe if I was paying to get my hair done, I'd stick to one hairstyle..lol. But, since I do my hair myself, I can change it whenever I want. What do you think of my fro? This is my first attempt at bantu knots actually! They take so long though but I love the end result.

I just want to thank everyone for the love and support they extended to my last post. I really appreciate you guys! Uni starts tomorrow and the weather is really crap. It took me about 15minutes to make a journey of about 5minutes because I was trying not to fall down. The ice is really slippery! God help me tomorrow.

BLOW 2012 ONE LAST KISS..

It's 31st guys! WOWZA! Last day of the year. I'm lost for words. I woke up this morning and was like wow. I don't know about you but I am here as a product of the grace of God. Like, my life is basically a case of  "if not for God...". 

Thank you soo much for your constant love and support. Let's do this again in 2013. 

This is just a plain outfit I wore to church yesterday. I just didn't want to dress too fancy so it was a tee and jeans kinder day but I tried to make it less boring by adding a few accessories and a patterned coat.
