NO EGO! NO PRIDE!!

Last night, one of my best friends called me. She had broken up with her boyfriend on numerous occasions(because she was not sure if she was ready for a relationship); and on this particular occasion, she was sure she wanted him; but he had gotten tired of her neither here nor there attitude and told her he wasn't taking her back. He informed her that she had been very selfish and the world was not her oyster. I couldn't do much to comfort her because he was right; she had been selfish; but one of the determining factor for not taking her back was his pride and ego which had been bruised on several occasions.

HI DADDY!

I struggled with prayer for a long time. I never really understood how people could pray for hours non stop. And so a lot of the things I prayed about in one prayer session, especially in church, were just repetitions. If you have ever been to a Nigerian church, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about - the pastor gives one prayer point and gives you 5 minutes to pray about 1 thing. (I swear I finish before everyone else). I felt this way until I meditated on Matthew 6:7, that says "when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathens do, for they think they will be heard for their many words". I realised that there are 2 important parts of prayer and none of it has to do with your words, but your heart and the person you're praying to - your daddy.

EASY DOWN

The lift is broken in my house. Well, actually someone threw up in the lift and it stinks really badly so my sister and I resorted to take the steps instead. Now, neither of us is part of the fitfam. So in our climbing up and down the stairs, I realised something everyone already knows (I can be slow sometimes).

SHRUNK

I always struggled with the concept of humility so much that I didn't even know how to accept a compliment. I always make a joke when I receive a compliment instead of saying "thank you".

And monochrome clashes...

BLACK & WHITE

Hi guys, I'm sure you know by now that I love the monochrome trend. I got a dress on Asos hoping I'd rock it on its own but it was sooo short that I couldn't wear it on it's own so I rolled it up, got my black trousers and peped the waist so the 'join-join' I did wouldn't show. I felt like my black shoes were too plain so I made a bow and attached it to the pumps for a little "umph". How did I do?

Love isn't a product of God, it is an attribute of God. It is not something He does. It is something God is. And guess what? we are made in His image and likeness....

Lots of love,

Two For The Price of One...

(Photos by Chiebuka)
I am a girly girl. No, I don't like pink but I'm a very girly girl. I like to do girly things. I cannot be around anything that crawls or flies. I like to get my hair done. I like to retouch my nail polish every week. I do not enjoy sports (unless you count wrestling as a sport - great John Cena fan). However, I have been dying to get into the sports luxe trend and when I found this pair of trousers on Asos, I knew they had to be mine sooner or later. I felt like it was the perfect time to tackle two trends at once so I decided to do a monochromatic look as well. I love my whites and black but I just felt like I needed a little "umph" so I added my oh so famous Zara heels (I refuse to listen to the voice in my head that says Tomilola, let this shoe rest now. I paid for it, it will work for me). I had this Tee made for me in Nigeria and I particularly like to make my own printed tees because I am very particular about the type of message I pass across. My tee says 'fearless'  because God has not given me the spirit of fear but of power, love and of a sound mind.
