THE 1ST TIME THEY FELL IN LOVE.

This was the first dress/item I got from Asos and I've had it for over two years and since then, Asos has been my go-to site for dresses. I have really gotten into the art of pencil dresses lately, I even wore one to uni and I had a few people asking me if I had a date later that day. (LOL) 

Pencil dresses remind me of liberation....of freedom....of self-love and confidence.  A couple of years back, I wouldn't be caught dead in a pencil dress because I was insecure and I was ashamed of my body. I wanted more. I wanted to be bigger and I know that sounds silly but I grew up in a place where all the 'boys' wanted curvier girls and I let that affect my self-esteem. (People still tell me today that I would be so much 'hotter' if I added more weight. Guess what? I DON'T CARE!). When I met Jesus Christ, I stopped focusing on what the boys thought and about what He thought and I realized and I am proud to say that I am beautiful in my own right. Emphasis on the word 'beautiful', not sexy. There is so much more to life than one's physical appearance. Being curvy or skinny, light skinned or dark skinned, white or black, natural or relaxed doesn't make you beautiful. Accepting that you are wonderfully and fearfully made by God, that's what makes you BEAUTIFUL and if you live for being SEXY, then I'm NOT sorry to say, but you might as well not live at all.

 TOO MUCH MUSHINESS??? BACK TO OUTFIT DETAILS: I didn't go for my signature red lips today because I wanted a little change. (Never again. lol). It's really hard trying to put anything against a red dress because a red dress will always win but I think my red dress has found its match in these rose gold shoes

    hi.. i love your blog so much. i am thinking of getting this asos belt in the size small (32 inches. my waist is really tiny. and I am thinking of getting the belt and wearing it right below my bust. do you think it would fit and what size did you get yours in?.

      Hello,

      Thank you very much. I got the small as well but I had to make extra holes in the belt because my waist is a bit tinier than the belt. I wouldn't recommend putting a belt below your bust because that would be drawing unnecessary attention to your boob and it's for the waist so it should be on the waist so it can cinch it in.
