Review: PAINT AND SIP!

I’m constantly always looking for fun things to do in Lagos...things that don’t break the bank and generally don’t involve anything that hurts my spirit. So when I stumbled on a Sip and Paint event on Instagram, I was proper interested. I signed up for it and got one of my best friends to join me.

The event is organized by @artsplashstudio and hosted at La Taverna. First of all, I love the location (the downside being parking isn’t so great). It’s chilled enough to have an intimate dinner or to have a paint party where you can be a bit loud and annoying lol

The Sip and Paint was to start at 7pm and they said there would be no African time. Tapping into my caucasian spirit, I arrived at 6.56pm and I was the first one there... I sat by myself while I waited for everyone else to show up. By 7.15ish, we got the show on the road. Our instructor -Ameh introduced himself to us and guided us throughout the whole process. Honestly, it was so refreshing to be taught by someone who not only knew what he was doing but absolutely loved his job as well.
While getting our Picasso on, a waitress went round to ask if we wanted red or white wine. It was at this moment, we started “sipping” and “painting”. I totally enjoyed the whole experience and would recommend to anyone that’s interested. The best part? You get to take your painting home!!!

  1. ooh, this looks nice. I'm gonna look them up. N5K doesn't sound bad for the whole experience.
